Remember this one from back in 1986?
Weird Al Yankovic’s parody of James Brown’s classic “Living in America” hit record stores in the autumn of 1986, just a year after Brown’s album was released and ranked number 4 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
In the song, Weird Al lists the names of different types of hernias instead of the list of American cities that James Brown’s song features. His dancing isn’t bad, either.
Interestingly, the music video for “Living with a Hernia” was filmed on the same stage, with the same showgirls, and the same musical performers that were featured with James Brown during “Living in America” in Rocky IV. The showroom at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas seen in Weird Al’s video looks identical to its appearance in Rocky IV!
