CREED TRAINING MONTAGE
It’s here at Philadelphia’s Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk that we find Rocky standing on higher ground as he trains Adonis, who jogs and does pull-ups at this riverside spot favorited by locals.
The 2,000-foot-long pathway runs along Philly’s Schuylkill River (yeah, we know it’s a difficult word – it is Dutch and means “hidden river” – click here to listen to the pronunciation) from Locust to South Street.
Back in ’75, Rocky himself jogged along the Schuylkill as he trained to fight Adonis’ dad, Apollo Creed.
The boardwalk offers spectacular waterside views of the stunning Philadelphia skyline and is a great site for sight-seeing as well as for exercise – you’ll find thousands of walkers, runners and bikers here each week.
