How Robert Tepper’s “No Easy Way Out” Became a Rocky Soundtrack Classic
“[Sylvester Stallone] created an MTV music video in the middle of his freaking movie!” Tepper exclaims in a new interview with LA Weekly’s Jason Roche on his work on the Rocky IV soundtrack.
“The big promotional lie at the time was that I had written the song for Rocky IV. That’s not the truth,” Tepper says. “Stallone had come to my label looking for music. He heard the song and went crazy for it. He tried to get me to do another song that was specific for the movie, but the timing was too late on that.”
Tepper performs live on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip this weekend at the iconic Whisky A Go-Go. Click here for more info.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online here. Tepper takes the stage at 7:00pm on Saturday, July 23.
