KNOW HIS NAME.
Yesterday, Sylvester Stallone posted (then deleted) hints on social media that we could be expecting some exciting news on Creed II today – and the man, as usual, was right.
MGM and Warner Bros. Pictures have released the first movie poster for Creed II which features a stunningly dramatic black and white image of Michael B. Jordan wearing the iconic stars-and-stripes boxing trunks first made legendary by Apollo Creed. A towering II looms behind Adonis’ character.
It’s a nice traditional choice that the filmmakers chose to go with the title of “Creed II” using the Rocky-classic roman numeral for the sequel rather than today’s trend of tacking on a digit, as in “Creed 2”.

The studios have also released the official synopsis for the movie:
Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover that nothing’s more important than family. Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can’t escape your history.
This past week, Stallone and Michael B. Jordan were in Deming, New Mexico filming additional scenes for the movie.
Word is that the official Creed II teaser trailer drops tomorrow, so be sure to check back!
