News from screenwriter Carl Kirshner on the proposed film about young Mickey Goldmill:
The script, formerly titled “Angel On My Shoulder“, has been re-titled “MICKEY – The Mickey Goldmill Story”. And, to stay in keeping with the rest of the Rocky franchise, the film’s rating has been changed from R to PG13. John Avildsen, director of Rocky and Rocky V, has become aware of the project. Avildsen loves the story and has asked to be kept informed on the latest progressions.
