Saving Hollywood, one of the world’s best collections of props, costumes and memorabilia from iconic films and music, is currently auctioning screen-worn costumes from two of the Rocky films.
Although Saving Hollywood’s collection is typically available for loan to museums around the world, they happen to be selling these cool items which came directly from the private collection of Frank Stallone.
CLUBBER LANG’S BLUE & WHITE BOXING TRUNKS AND ROBE
First up are Mr. T’s hero (meaning the ones you actually see him wear on screen) boxing trunks and silk robe from Rocky III.
Mr. T’s iconic blue and white screen used Rocky III silk boxing robe. Worn in the infamous first fight with Rocky when he pushes and kills Mickey. Also clearly seen in the ring as he ultimately wins the title. Some expected usage/wear and color fading to the silk due to age and filming, but otherwise in good condition. Still contains remnants of Rocky’s blood on the white collar! Robe comes complete with full documentation. Obtained directly from Frank Stallone.
The auction also states an interesting fact about the creation of Clubber’s shorts: “The seven letters (“CLUBBER”) that are sewn on to the waistband of the trunks were done by hand. There are a number of sewing inconsistencies that match up perfectly to easily screen match.”

IVAN DRAGO’S SCREEN-WORN BOXING BOOTS
Original one of a kind screen used yellow and red boxing boots, worn by Dolph Lundgren in his starring role as Ivan Drago in the 1985 film Rocky IV. Used by Drago when he famously killed Apollo Creed in Las Vegas. This one of a kind boot was made specifically for the film. After production wrapped, Dolph signed the boot for the ADIDAS archives/museum, adding his name and the 1986 date.
Drago’s boots originally came from actress Debbie Reynolds’ enormously famous Hollywood costume and prop collection which was auctioned off in 2011.
