Rocky V (1990)

Rocky V Banner

Go For It!

Forced to retire after having permanent brain damage inflicted on him in the ring by the Russian boxer Ivan Drago, Rocky Balboa and his family return to their old roots in Philly.

Ok, so this is the one everybody hates. Rocky befriends, and then is betrayed by Tommy “The Machine” Gunn and at home, has to come to understand his son all over again.

Yeah, it ain’t our favorite either, but it has its moments. Christmas with the Balboas…Rocky and Adrian playing dress-up in their old clothes, and a brutal street fight finale.

Rocky V takes us back to the streets of Philly as we’re meant to relive the feelings invoked by the original movie as Rocky and Paulie take young Robert on a tour of the old ‘hood.

A highlight here – Robert ‘Rocky’ Junior is portrayed by Sylvester Stallone’s son, Sage. They make a real sharp couple a’ coconuts.

Burt Young Has Fond Memories of Playing Paulie in the ‘Rocky’ Movie Series

Young says he patterned Paulie's insecurity after his own, all burly bluster on the outside but a frightened pussycat inside.

Yo Rock, Milo’s Your Son

"Gilmore Girls" star will take over the role of Rocky Balboa Jr. in “Rocky Balboa”. Sage Stallone – who, the rumour mill says, was not asked back – previously played the character in 1990’s “Rocky V”.
