We’re excited about the launch of Sylvester Stallone’s official clothing brand and online store, Sly Stallone Shop, which has recently unveiled some cool Rocky and Rambo themed t-shirts.
The growing collection includes several t-shirts personally approved by Stallone, who also wears the shirts at home and during gym workouts, as can be seen in his regular posts on social media.
Most interesting among the apparel is a “Robert ‘Rocky’ Balboa, Heavyweight Champion” design, and a Mighty Mick’s Gym design based upon the actual Mickey Goldmill photo prop used by Burgess Meredith’s character in the original movie.
“Sylvester Stallone is VERY involved and cares a great deal about his new company, he’s involved with me in every single design,” says Sly’s partner in the venture, entertainment and sports marketing agent Nick Cordasco. “[Stallone] comes up with ideas. Nothing gets released unless Sly approves it.”
Cordasco – himself a huge Rocky fan, and proud owner of the original Rocky III Harley Davidson – tells us that additional designs and accessories are planned for the budding collection, including some replica props from some of Sly’s most popular films. Specific pieces set to release include a replica of Rocky’s black tiger jacket, boxing trunks and John Rambo’s signature military duffel bag.
You may remember the announcements of a planned Sylvester Stallone fashion line back in 2012 that never materialized; back then, Sly explained that “clothing is the first step to building a character,” so it’s exciting to see his vision of a clothing line finally come to fruition with Sly Stallone Shop.
“I couldn’t be more thankful to you fans for the love and support you’ve given to me over the years,” Stallone says of the new online store, which plans to include Creed II merchandise eventually. “I hope that my official clothing brand gives you as much inspiration as you’ve given to me.”
